The Bradford protein concentration assay is a widely used, classical method for determining protein concentration. The principle of the Ready-to-use Bradford Protein Assay Kit is based on the interaction between basic and aromatic amino acids in the protein, which results in the formation of stable blue complexes. These complexes exhibit good linearity within a certain range of protein concentrations, allowing the protein concentration to be calculated by measuring the absorbance at 595 nm.
The Ready-to-use Bradford Protein Assay Kit is a modified version of the traditional Bradford method, with an optimal detection range between 100 and 500 μg/mL. It provides rapid results in just a few minutes and is compatible with high concentrations of reducing agents. Additionally, it is resistant to a variety of commonly used detergents, including Tween 20, 1% SDS, 1% NP-40, 1% Triton X-100, and 1% Brij35. The kit includes a pre-diluted protein standard solution (BSA solution) that is ready to use, eliminating the need for serial dilutions.
